Hello Hubs Community, this Tuesday, February 13, 2024, Mozilla announced that Hubs will be shut down this year. For more information about this, see the announcement post on our blog: https://hubs.mozilla.com/labs/sunset/
During the months before the shutdown, our main focus will be to make sure you can retrieve data and assets from Mozilla-run services before they are turned off on May 31, 2024. We are creating a tool which users can use to retrieve the following data associated with their email address...
1. Media Uploaded to Spoke
- 3D models
- Audio files
- Image files
- Video files
2. gLTFs of published scenes and avatars
3. Hubs-specific URLs
- Scene URLs
- Room URLs
- Avatar URLs
- Spoke project URLs
For the assets on hubs.mozilla.com, users will be able to download the data associated with your email addresses only. For managed subscription instances (.myhubs.net), we will make it possible for subscription owners to download all data from your Hub across all associated email accounts.
In addition to assets you have created, we understand that many of you rely on avatars, scenes, and other assets which have been published by the Hubs team over the years. Prior to shutdown, we will open source these assets and as many of the original .blend files as we can.
