Participate in the 2nd Annual Oregon Science Festival, presented by OMSI! A fun, interactive, and engaging week-long celebration of science!
The festival will highlight STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, art and math) and take science learning out into the community.
The Oregon Science Festival will kick off with
Science Week! Five days of events in the Portland Metro Area and beyond from September 9-13, 2024.
Imagine workshops, tours, lectures, and more, all pertaining to science.The OSF will end with a two-day Science Festival hosted at OMSI on September 14 & 15, 2024. If you are interested in the festival, send us a note at events@omsi.edu for a link to that application.
Fill out this application if you want to host a tour, workshop, lecture or event during
Science Week, Sept 9-13. These events will be hosted by YOU and your staff at your location. Ideally the “event” would be free so it’s accessible to everyone but that is not required. Activities can happen during the day or evening. These events will be advertised through the OMSI network and get your organization/business in front of over 100,000 households!
In order to ensure your event is successful, you WILL need to advertise the event yourself as well!
You can do one or more of the options below:
- Tour: Host a regular or specialty behind the scenes tour of your facility.
- Workshop: Host a hands-on workshop.
- Lecture or Event: Host a lecture, trivia, bingo, etc. Think outside the box! An event could be anything from a trivia night to a science game that you create to teach people about your research. If you would like to partner with OMSI to host an event, we would be interested but have limited resources that week.
