Chilis on Wheels Volunteer Form (New York)
Thank you for offering to volunteer with Chilis on Wheels! Mutual Aid is our heart! We are a queer-founded, BIPOC/BIPGM led organization fighting for food sovereignty, our planet, animal liberation, and collective liberation. Since 2014, we have been working to make Veganism accessible to communities in need and fighting the structural and systemic issues that keep it from being so.

We do this through:
-Meal shares
-Grocery delivery
-Fresh produce distribution
-Workshops
-Mentorship
-Free stores
-Providing pet food
-Disaster and emergency food relief
-Supporting and working on legislation that aligns with our values
-Collaborating with community fridges
-Coalition building with other movements and organizations
-Special events from movie nights to holiday celebrations

Besides being the first vegan food justice organization in New York, we also co-founded New York’s first vegan community fridge, and our founder started a micro sanctuary. If you have a chicken that needs rescuing, let us know too!

One of the things we most love doing is working with groups providing food to the community to transition their food offerings to plant-based meals. Why? Because our goal is to make Veganism accessible to everyone. If you’d like help with this, please fill out the form accordingly.
