SEA Executive Board Application for 2023-2024
For the 2023-2024 School Year, we currently have six open positions on SEA’s Executive Board.  I am looking to appoint people to the following positions: Dual/Bilingual Services Liaison, Early Childhood Liaison, Elementary Instructional Services Liaison, Membership Recognition, Grassroots Political Activist, and Historian.
We ask our Exec Board members to attend a monthly meeting with our Executive Board, as well as attend the monthly Building Rep Meeting.

Here is a descriptor of the open positions:

-Dual/Bilingual Services Liaison is the contact for our members who support dual language and bilingual/EL programs when there are questions about any bilingual/dual language program or instruction. This person meets monthly with Nancy Hellstrom.

-Early Childhood Liaison is the contact for our members at the Early Learning Center when questions about curriculum arise or any other needs at the ELC. This person meets monthly with Dr. Erin Knoll.

-Elementary Instructional Services Liaison is the contact for our K-6 grade educators/members when there are questions about elementary level curriculum and instruction.  This person meets monthly with Dr. Erin Knoll.

-Membership Recognition is someone who assists with recognition of our SEA members during various times of the year, including Induction Week, American Education Week, and at the General Meeting.

-Grassroots Political Activist is someone who educates, organizes and recruits member activists to accomplish the goals of IEA-IPACE through grassroots political action and policy advocacy efforts.  This person supports Region 35 (SEA & SEEO) and receives training and a stipend through the Illinois Education Association (IEA).
