SCoTENS Student Teacher Event (2023)
Thanks for your interest in this event!

In the past SCoTENS (the Standing Conference on Teacher Education, North and South) organised only 'real-world' teaching practice exchanges between student teachers in the north and south but because of COVID we decided to try a virtual event last year instead of a full-blown travel-based exchange.
It worked so well  we have decided to continue with the online 'exchange' for another year!

Basically, this SCoTENS Event gives Student Teachers the opportunity to meet virtually with other student teachers, north and south, to get some expert advice and guidance on teaching about / for sustainability on teaching practice. It involves only a few hours over two evenings in mid-January where you can attend short, online talks and then share ideas and resources on ways of teaching about sustainability and living sustainably.  And it will offer an opportunity to work with a partner or partners, across the border, to try out some of the things we learn. There will be a certificate of participation and an option to earn a digital badge on offer... both great for the CV!

If you are interested in participating please fill in the form below so that we can contact you with full information on this event and send an invitation to join us for what promises to be an interesting and useful experience.

Welcome to teaching a Sustainable World & Way of Living!
