Fun Fact: Crash Course keeps putting this Arabic word on the screen as if it represents Islam. I think he meant to put the word "Islam" in Arabic, but he's missing the first letter, so it just says "Salam", which means peace. My theory is, when John Green told you to Google it, it's because he doesn't actually know what it is, or because they didn't find a symbol until after filming.
