Berkeley Haas Center for Responsible Business partners Ramboll and Equinor are bringing together the best and brightest students from across UC Berkeley to tackle their toughest sustainability challenges.
In this one day hackathon style innovation competition, students will develop new sustainable solutions for real world challenge while collaborating with global experts and expanding their network. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, co-creation and ideation, the SPARK Innovation Competition brings together ambitious students and expert know-how to develop solutions for a sustainable future.
The 2023 Challenge: This year's SPARK competition seeks to explore and discover the main challenges for enabling offshore floating wind along the California coast and develop a roadmap for solving them. The problem statement will be released 1 week before event.
Event Details:
Friday, April 21st from 8:30am - 5:30pm at the Berkeley Haas Innovation Lab
Participation: Students from all disciplines and degree programs across UC Berkeley are encouraged to apply. 30 students will be selected to join a team of students with diverse academic backgrounds. Each group will get 15 minutes in front of the judges, including 5-minute pitch and 10-minutes for questions. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.
