Future Worlds Challenge - MIT Edition with with Conversational AI: Interest Form
🌏 Future Worlds Challenge – MIT Edition is a global intergenerational research study on the topic of conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI).
🏫 The study is led by The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) App Inventor in the US in partnership with Brave Conversations, Smart Humans in Australia and 01Gov startup in the UAE. The goal of the study is to investigate how people perceive conversational agents, like Alexa or Siri.
👩🏿💻 In this challenge, young participants and their parents or grandparents from around the world will engage in online workshops to collaborate on designing the future of our world as they envision it.
👽 In the process, participants will learn how to program Amazon Alexa in App Inventor and the Alexa-empowered conversations will navigate potential futuristic scenarios like aliens settling with us on earth and other unique world events or disasters.
🗓 The virtual workshop will take place in the afternoon/evenings of Nov. 20-21 for North American participants, and Nov. 27-28 for participants from elsewhere.
👨👧 The participation is open to anyone who is 12-17 years old, can communicate in English, and willing to participate with one parent or grandparent.
