Madrich and madricha literally means “guide”. Madrich is the masculine form and madricha is the feminine form. Madrichim is plural. In our context, a madrichim is a teen leader and role model.
WHAT WILL I DO?
You will have the opportunity to work with students in grades K-7 in our education program, supporting them and the teachers. You will help implement lesson plans and games, read stories, work with kids who need extra support, and help us a create a Jewish community of learners filled with ruach (spirit!)
WHAT'S THE COMMITMENT AND SCHEDULE?
You can choose to be a madrich or madricha during any of these times:

Sundays 9-12pm
·
Tuesdays 4-6pm
·
Wednesdays 4-6pm
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Any teens in grades 8-12. Seventh graders who attend a Jewish Day School are also welcome to apply!
DOES THE PROGRAM COST?
The cost of the program is $500. Financial aid is available; please speak with Robin or Rabbi Liben if you need financial support. The cost of the program covers things like paying the Madrichim Coordinator, snacks and special programs.
WILL I GET PAID?
At the end of the year if you participate fully (90% attendance or better) you will have the choice of receiving a stipend or community service hours. 8th and 9th graders will receive a stipend of $180, 10th and 11th graders a stipend of $225 and 12th graders a stipend of $250. If you have a Passport to Israel account we encourage you to put the stipend in that account.
