The deadline for submitting the application is 12th February, 2023. 

Training for new volunteers is approximately 35-40 hours long, and will take place between February 23 and April 9, 2023. (Note that once you have successfully completed training, you can volunteer with DIAL regardless of whether you are a McGill student!) Training includes a combination of anti-oppression workshops and active listening training. We deal with heavy, potentially triggering topics, including but not limited to racism, sexism, domestic violence, homophobia, transphobia, self-harm, and suicide. To the best of our abilities we provide a supportive environment for all trainees and volunteers. After you submit this form, we will contact you to schedule an interview. Interviews will be held starting February 15 (or earlier if possible) and will last approximately 30 minutes. They are intended to help us get to know you a little better and give us an idea of your suitability for training with the DIAL branch! You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about training, volunteering, and the organization.
