Elevator pitch. In 100 words or less, describe your podcast idea. *
Do you have a title for your podcast? If so, what is it? *
Each podcast should have three completed episodes before being published and given a web page through the university. List your first three episodes here. Who would you talk to? This all may change, but having an idea helps.
In a few words, describe the style or tone you'd like your podcast to evoke. *
Do you have any podcasting experience, or have you ever worked with audio recording devices and/or software? If so, please describe. *
Are there existing podcasts that are similar to the one you're pitching? If so, how will yours be different? *
Name a podcast you really like, and describe what you like about it. *
Who is your intended audience? Please do not say "anyone." Podcast audiences need to be specific -- 18 to 24 year-olds who like cool socks, for example. If you're unsure, that's OK, we can work on that. *
How many episodes would you like to make? *
How many seasons would your podcast run? A season, for example, could be a year, or a semester. Each season would consist of a number of episodes. *
Hosting a successful podcast takes commitment. How frequently would you be posting an episode? *
Podcasts can be any length, as long as the length is relatively consistent between episodes. Choose an estimated time length for each episode. *
The podcast host is the public ambassador of the podcast. Describe what you would do to market your podcast to make sure people know it exists. *
Who would help you with the podcast? Do you know anyone who could help you market it, or mix the audio, or manage your social media, or reach out to potential underwriters to support your content? How would you go about putting this team together?
How will you define success? Audience growth? Online engagement? Downloads? Explain. *
Why are you the right person to host this podcast? *
Anything else we should know? Are you hilarious? Be hilarious. Are you cerebral? Be that. Are you ridiculous? Show it. *
