We are an independent music and audio-visual festival, started by a collective of passionate individuals and artists with a core goal to provide a creative platform for electronic arts & music and a space for learning and development.
Returning for its 10th year in 2024, AVA’s main Festival in Belfast has grown year on year, along with a programme of international showcases, including Mumbai, Amsterdam, London, Manchester and other major cities. This year AVA Festival returns across 2 days on the Bank Holiday weekend in June at the Titanic Slipways, Belfast. The Festival will showcase the best homegrown talent that electronic music and visual art has to offer, inviting pioneers of the scene to play alongside new breakthrough talent to the legendary AVA crowd.
The remodelled site will offer an intimate and immersive festival experience with bespoke lighting and visual stage installations and the return of the iconic Belfast Boiler Room. We are seeking volunteers to work a number of onsite roles in the lead up to and during the May/June festival.

1. Personal Information

AVA will not share your personal information with any third-party organisation without your prior consent.
AVA will use your personal information solely for purposes relating to Volunteering at AVA and to administer your application for a position with us unless you choose to be contacted about other volunteer opportunities.
2. Briefing and Induction:
If you're application is successful, you will be invited to attend the volunteer briefing on the morning of the event day. Failure to do so will mean that you cannot volunteer at the AVA event. If you are unable to attend the briefing, please let you point of contact know in advance.
At your volunteer briefing, you will be given a volunteer agreement to sign. You must comply fully with any rules, terms, policies that AVA present to you.
You will be briefed before every AVA event where you are volunteering and you will be given a full site walkthrough.
You will be assigned a supervisor/manager who will be your main point of contact and who will assign you to a specific area or team, or delegate tasks directly to you.
You will be given clear instructions on all the tasks you are expected to fulfil.
3. Shift rewards
For every 2 builds shift (max. 8 hours) you work, you will receive 1 ticket for your preferred festival day, 4 drinks tokens, the 2024 edition crew t-shirt and lunch
It’s possible to work up to 4 shifts leading up to the festival for a full 2-day festival ticket.

For every 1 live event shift (max. 8 hours) you work, you will gain access to the festival that evening once your shift is finished, 4 drinks tokens, the 2024 edition crew t-shirt and lunch
It is possible to work both live event days for a full 2-day festival ticket.

4. Other Benefits
