Let's boost PLASTIC BAG RECYCLING! Many hands make light work, truly in this case. Plastic is very light, but when we work together it ALL ADDS UP! 500 pounds of plastic logged BELOW will earn a bench for our local community. These organizations will specifically donate a bench to their local school!

One bag full of plastic bags weighs about 0.25 of a pound.
4 bags-of-bags weighs about 1 pound! Every pound adds up and counts toward this collection!
500 pounds earns a bench (earn one bench every 6 months!)

#1. WEIGH your “bag of bags!”   Use a mailing scale. If you do not have one: step on a regular scale and weigh yourself with and without holding the plastic bags. Subtract your own weight.

#2. LOG the weight BELOW!

#3.  DROP OFF at local grocery (Fresh Thyme OR Metro Market OR Pick-n-Save plastic bag collection sites) or your local Elementary School listed below. Find more USA drop off sites at recycle.trex.com/view/programs.

#4. REPEAT weekly or monthly and share this link to this google form on social media or email family and friends!

Every 6 months another bench can be earned! Use this same link to log the weight of YOUR PLASTIC BAGS & PLASTIC FILM. It's an honor system, so weigh-in carefully, share this google form and come back often!

I am willing to help collect & pick up bags from a bin at Center Street Park. I will remove the bag-of-bags when full, replace with a dry, clean, clear liner bag. I will sort, weigh the bag, log it into the google document and then take the bag to a corporate collection site. Please enter your email in the other line! Thank you a head of time!
