This week we hear the story of the Good Shepherd according to John.  The entire Good Shepherd discourse is John 10:1-42 if you would like to read it all, but the video focuses on the center of his discourse.  Please watch the video and use the following questions to discuss the Gospel with your family.
Why is Jesus as the Good Shepherd a better shepherd than a paid shepherd? *
Who is Jesus' flock?  (All Christians and those that are not yet of this faith that he is trying to lead to him) *
What is Jesus willing to do for his flock?  (He is willing to lay down his life for his sheep, unlike a paid shepherd that will run when he is confronted with trouble from outside (the wolf in the Gospel). *
Just like God knows his son, Jesus, so does Jesus know us his sheep.  How do you think Jesus knows us so well?  Why do you think he says that he knows his flock and his flock knows him, even though all of his flock is not currently followers/Christians? *
