Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey designed to help Spotsylvania's Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) Office meet the needs of our community members.  An integral part of Virginia Tech and Virginia State University, we work in Spotsylvania County to share knowledge, support businesses, and implement research that advances the well-being of all Virginians. 

Purpose: This assessment examines Spotsylvania residents’ perceptions of potential community issues.

Time required: The survey is anticipated to take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Risks and benefits: There are no risks or benefits to participating in this assessment study. 

Confidentiality: Your identity will be kept confidential to the extent provided by law.  Your name will not be used in any report.  Only the researchers will have access to the information we collect online.  There is a minimal risk that any online data's security may be breached. Still, because no identifying information will be collected and the online host (Google Forms) uses several forms of encryption protections, it is unlikely that a security breach of the online data will result in any adverse consequences for you.

Voluntary participation: Your participation in this assessment study is entirely voluntary.  There is no penalty for not participating.

Right to withdraw from the study: You have the right to withdraw from the assessment study at any time without consequence.
