Air Cadets who intend to apply for the Glider Pilot Training Course (GPTC) or Power Pilot Training Course (PPTC) must complete the Air Cadet Online Ground School (OGS). This program ensures and effective and equitable approach to ground-school training for all Air Cadets across Canada.
What is Online Ground School?
The OGS is part of the Air Cadet National Selection Process (link below) and is comprised of 45 hours of self-paced learning. This includes model tests, quizzes, and the completion of a practice and selection exam. To participate, cadets will require access to a personal computer or mobile device and a broadband internet connection. Throughout the OGS, participating Air Cadets will have access to a Transport Canada Civil Aviation certified instructor to help with course material, answer questions, and provide support for challenging topics.

Applications are now open if you would like to pursue the Glider or Power Course this Summer. Deadline to apply for the Online Ground School is October 13 2022. We will make the deadline earlier because we want to ensure you are granted access to the OGS prior to the October 15 2022 deadline.
To view additional information on the Online Ground School for Glider or Power, please Log In to your Cadet365 Account. Then open MS Teams. On the top left of MS Teams, there should be a Home Account Icon, click that. This will lead you to the Cadet365 Main Hub. Scroll down and you will find a button to lead you to a page called "Interested in Glider or Power Pilot Training"
