Welcome to the first step in the annual Sweet Corn Festival Queen Competition!
Requirements to participate:
- Reside in Lee County, Iowa
- Be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior in high school
- Fill out the application below
- Be at an interview sometime the first week of August (date to be announced)
- Be present for the competition on Thursday August 10th, 2023 in West Point
Contestants will be judged by a panel of judges focusing on poise, appearance, personality, and leadership.
The winner and runner-up will be honored with a CASH PRIZE, a crown, and a sash! In addition to representing West Point and The Sweet Corn Festival, the winner will be asked to assist with a variety of activities during the festival including riding in the parade on Sunday August 13th!
Please have your name, age, parents, and school submitted by JULY 1st and full applications submitted by JULY 28th!
