Affordable Materials Grants Call for Peer Reviewers: Rounds 22 and 23
Affordable Learning Georgia (ALG) organizes grant proposal reviewers on a yearly basis. Reviewers will have a one-year commitment during specified weeks of review with an expected 40 hours total for the year.

Compensation:
$400 honorarium per round ($800 total), distributed through your institution's payroll, through one Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the institution for the year. At the end of the review period for each round of grants, ALG will inform your institution's Business Office that the reviewer's work is complete. The institution will then invoice ALG for the total of the honorarium and employer FICA/FICA-Med costs associated with payroll. Employee taxes and other fringes apply per other payroll payments.

Selection Process:
10 applicants will be selected as reviewers for the year and 5 additional applicants placed on a reserve list. The reserve list will be called if the amount of applications exceeds reviewer capacity or if a reviewer needs to back out of the agreement.

Qualifications:
Must be employed by a University System of Georgia (USG) institution as either professional staff or faculty instructors in any academic discipline. Grant reviewing experience, higher education teaching experience, and open educational resource (OER) knowledge are preferred and will be the main criteria for selection. Reviewers cannot be on an applying grant team for Rounds 22 and 23.

Commitment:
Two grant rounds in FY 2023:
- Round 22: November 1-15, 2022,  approximately 20 hours over the course of two weeks.
- Round 23: February 1-14, 2023, approximately 20 hours over the course of two weeks.

Reviewer Application Deadline:
Friday, October 21, 2022, 11:59 PM

Notifications:
