Please do not apply until you have completed either the youth or college certification.
USA Ultimate wants to reduce some of the barriers the certification process might present. The RAD grant is designed to help those in need of financial assistance for the coach certification program who come from underrepresented communities. The RAD grant will cover:
1) The cost of the non-player membership ($27 in 2025).
2) The cost of completing
one USA Ultimate youth or college coaching certification course (up to $45).
Eligibility requirements:
1) Be a woman or non-binary person, and/or
2) Anyone who is BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color).
3) Complete either the youth or college coaching certification (the Foundational Coach certification is not included)

Grant RulesIf you are not yet a member, please purchase a membership or renew your membership. If you are not going to play, purchase the non-player membership ($27); if you are going to play, purchase the appropriate player membership and you will be reimbursed up tot the cost of the non-player membership. Multiyear player memberships will be pro-rated up to the cost of the non-player membership.
The reimbursement will be issued once you have completed the certification (youth or college only).
We will reimburse for non player memberships and the certification fee for the year in which they are requested with an exception for December of the prior year purchases once the certification is completed. We will reimburse once you have completed the certification requirements. You should not apply until you are certified as a youth or college coach. The foundational coach certification is NOT covered.
