This trip is planned as a Get to know the Tongariro trip.
Some experienced club members will be coming and the idea is to introduce new anglers to the varied fishing opportunities on this world famous river.
From the big slow pools in the lower reaches, up through the Braids, into the Bridge pool and the middle pools around the hatchery area, to the upper pools, the Poutu, Boulder Reach and the Blue Pool, right through to the Whitikau there is a heap of different fishing for the experienced and the novice angler.
So if you think that you would like to come you need to let me know ASAP. We need to organise accommodation and there are several options, BUT numbers are important. The club house can accommodate seven, some may stay at TALTAC and if there are more then I will have to do a bit of work. The website is the best place to register, if this doesn’t work for you then email or phone me, I will have a list.
Cost. Well this depends on how many there are and what accommodation we need but it won’t be too bad. I will let you all know when we have numbers. You will need a Taupo licence – July 1 year
