                                What is the biggest impact your father has had on your life?

The relationship between fathers and sons is very formative. Some, probably most fathers, have had a positive impact on their sons. But some sons have been negatively impacted by absentee, abusive or passive fathers. And the consequences linger. One of the consequences is a difficulty developing a relationship with the God who calls Himself the Father. Unlike any of our earthly fathers, our heavenly father is perfect. He cares for us personally. His love is unfailing. His wisdom is unmatched. Yet, our view of Him may be tainted by our experiences with our earthly fathers. Maybe we can help each other by this conversation. That is the hope. This event is limited to 12 because that is a full house for the Bruhns, and it also gives each man an opportunity to participate. The meal and iced tea will be provided.
