Mentorship Survey
Kia Ora, my name is Laura Cornall and I am a student at the Southern Institute of Technology studying the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Enterprise.

2020 was a turbulent year for most of us, including myself when I lost my job in the travel industry. This was tough for me, however with the support of mentors I was able to move forward from the experience in a positive way. As I reflected on my experience with my mentors, I wondered if other young professionals in New Zealand had access to the same type of support.

After speaking to a few friends about their mentor experiences I realised that there could be an opportunity to create a mentor network where young professionals could easily find a mentor, learn to be a mentor or advertise themselves as a mentor.

Before I move forward with this project, I am currently looking for young professionals who currently reside in Auckland and have had a mentor to complete this questionnaire in order to help me develop this program.
It will only take a few minutes of your time, and your answers will remain confidential and anonymous.
The results will be written up and presented in a written dissertation that is assessed as a part of my programme of study. The data will be stored on a password-protected computer for a period of 5 years, after which it will be destroyed.

You do not need to participate in this study, but if you do, then I thank you. You do not need to answer any questions you do not want to answer. If you do complete it, then you are giving your consent for your data to be included in my project.
This project is being carried out under ethical approval from the Human Research Ethics
Committee. If you have any questions please contact my supervisor, Selena Coburn, email selena.coburn@sit.ac.nz
