The Public Interest Law Association (PILA) at UNLV's William S. Boyd School of Law would like to request your nominations for public interest leaders and/or organizations in the Nevada legal community who you believe should be honored at PILA's 23rd Annual Silver State Auction. The three awards for which we are seeking nominations are:
- Silver Staircase Award (a lifetime achievement award for an individual)
- Silver Service Award (honoring an individual who has made significant contributions to public interest)
- Silver Embrace Award (honoring an unsung hero--either an individual or an organization--engaged in public interest work)
- Silver Smith Award (This award honors an individual who cultivates a commitment to public interest law at Boyd.)
Past honorees include: Dean Christine Smith (2021), Mary Bacon (2021), Paloma Guerrero (2021), Brittnie Watkins (2021), Mona Kaveh (2020), Judge Frank Sullivan (2020), CASA (2020), Governor Brian Sandoval (2019), Judge Steven Dahl (2019), the Rosenblum Tax Clinic (2019), Ed and Claudia Bernstein (2018), Judge Nancy Saitta (2018), Wynn Resorts (2018), Judge Richard Boulware (2017), Nevada PEP (2017), Justice Kristina Pickering (2016), The Embracing Project (2016), Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez (2015), Bill Curran (2014), Justice Michael Douglas (2013), Barbara Buckley (2012), and Franny Forsman (2011).
