Chess.com is looking for someone who is passionate in building & managing cloud infrastructure. We're blending our datacenter hosting with AWS/GCP for microservices and scaling, and need your help to make sure that we're always up, stable and performant. QUALIFICATIONS
- Mastery of AWS & GCP, setup and control over console, CLI, and API
- Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters (mainly GKE - going multi-region in few months, we also plan to start k8s on-premise)
- Particular experience with Terraform (we treat Infrastructure as a Code)
- You love to write your own software to automate API-driven tasks at scale (preferably in Python, but Go, Java or Ruby are welcome too)

WHAT ELSE?
- Experience with server application monitoring & visualization (Prometheus, Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, tracing, etc)
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL storages (e.g. MySQL, Redis)
- Experience with message brokers (e.g. Kafka, PubSub, Redis)
- Detailed understanding of HTTP and related technologies
