Open call for circus artists!
Together with our partner "Teatro da Didascália", we invite you to a creative residency. We aim to create conditions for cultural exchange between Lithuanian and Portuguese circus artists and to activate creative processes in the field of contemporary circus: to contribute to the development and professional growth of artists.
The first stage will take place in Lithuania, September 5-10, in Vilnius.The second stage will take place in Portugal around February-March 2024 (TBA)
We invite you to apply! Especially those artists who feel a little lost, maybe they are not currently working on a specific performance, but are developing ideas, maybe they even feel stuck. The call is open to individuals (company members must fill out the form separately). Priority for artists whose practices and disciplines are performed on floor or do not require spec. preparation/ extra high spaces.
And the most important criteria is motivation!During the residency, mentor Bush Harrington will work with the participants, who is well acquainted with various physical practices and has so far encountered the Lithuanian performing arts context many times; he also has a unique feedback methodology.
The call is open until April 30th.
Three participants from each country will be selected from the submitted applications. Participation is free, the organizers will cover the expenses of the participants (accommodation, travel, etc.). Results will be announced on May 10th. If you have any questions, contact monika@teatronas.lt
