Llanelli Rural Council has recently taken over the former allotments site at Dwyfor, Llwynhendy. The Council is working with community groups and residents to take on areas to grow produce for themselves and also to donate to worthy causes such as the local food bank.

Llwynhendy & Pemberton Forum Food Bank has secured funding to install a large polytunnel, green house, shed, gardening tools and equipment, fruit trees, vegetable seeds in order for the community to practice their own food growing as well as providing fresh perishable produce for their food bank service.
