Hello, Odell Readers! Whether you've been with us for years or are brand new, here's what you need to know about this year’s Summer Reading Club: CAMP ODELL!

This year’s programming will feature make-and-take activities as well as in-person programs, a Story Stroll,  and more! Participants will receive reading logs for each of the 5 weeks of club as well as a BINGO board with fun family activities to try. New activity materials will be available for pickup each week at your leisure. We understand summer is a busy time for families so if you're on vacation or miss a week, that's alright! We'd still love to have your child. The library is open Monday & Wednesday 10am-6pm, Tuesday & Thursday 2pm-8pm, Friday 2pm-5pm, and Saturday 10am-3pm.

Readers who complete their reading logs and BINGO sheets will receive *FREE BOOKS* at the end of Summer Reading Club and are entered into additional prize drawings. This program is a great way to get your family comfortable using the library and has been shown to help grow or maintain literacy skills that are often lost over the summer months. Plus...it's a blast!

You do not NEED a library card to participate in Summer Reading Club, but it IS a lot more fun when you can check out our many fabulous books, backpacks, magazines, movies, and more! We are so pleased that all Morrison children can now receive a library card at no cost, even if they live outside the city limits. Please be aware that the children's library card is only valid for the child and their age-appropriate materials. Grown-ups residing outside the city limits still need to purchase a rural card to check out grown-up items.

CAMP ODELL: A 5-week Summer Reading Experience
Please note that dates and features may change. You may pick up materials ANY DAY during the week. Bookmarks should be returned each week to earn a small prize and prize ticket. A final schedule will be shared with registered families at the beginning of June!

Week 1: Beginning the week of JUNE 12th -- Stop by Odell and pick up your reading logs and BINGO board!

I am giving permission for this child to participate in the Odell Public Library Summer Reading Program and to be photographed or video-taped for usage by the library and for publication in newspapers, television, social media sites and other appropriate places for publicizing our library activities and events.
