This Sense-Making Session on Placemaking in Small Towns and Rural Communities is part of a discussion series hosted by the Healthy Communities Initiative in partnership with Happy Cities. The sessions are designed for anyone involved in placemaking opportunities and community-led projects who are interested in reflecting on the impacts of these initiatives in their communities.
Each session aims to explore and deepen our collective understanding of the relationships between place, community, and wellbeing from a particular placemaking lens or theme. The insights, stories, and experiences shared at these sessions will contribute to research that aims to make the case for the value of placemaking. This research will be shared with all participants in the fall 2023.
