2024 West Aurora Marching Alumni Information
If you are an Alum and would like to march with in the Aurora Fourth of July Parade, please provide information below regarding your participation.  This year, we will perform Battle Hymn for the parade. Music will be available here soon.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Hensel at gregory.hensel@sd129.org or Mr. Sierakowski at jsierakowski@sd129.org.  Information and music downloads regarding the Aurora Fourth of July parade is located on the West Aurora Bands website www.wabands.org.   Please complete your registration by July 1st.

Fourth of July Information
WE ARE BACK!!!  It is time again to remind everyone of the West Aurora Blackhawk Band's participation in the Fourth of July Parade in Aurora. Call time is 8:00 a.m. at West High (door 16a). It is extremely important we have a strong showing for this event as it is the most attended parade of the year by the people of Aurora and the surrounding area. We are pleased to continue our tradition of bringing back our alumni to march the parade with the current Blackhawk Band!

Class of 2024: We once again extend our congratulations on your graduation. We hope you will return to the ranks to make your last performance in the Blackhawk Band a great one! Further, it would be nice to see old friends from years gone by.

REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE:
Thursday, July 4 8:00 a.m. – enter through door 16a
Buses depart WAHS at 9:45 a.m.

PERFORMANCE ATTIRE:
Red Blackhawk Band t-shirt and mid-thigh khaki shorts – clean gym shoes
We will have a short rehearsal before the parade on Monday. We will perform Battle Hymn and you can download your part along with Ultimate Warm-Up at wabands.org. Battle Hymn will be available soon. Parade step off is 10:00 a.m. and we should finish the parade and return to West High by 1:00 p.m., perhaps sooner. Please have rides available upon return.
