HYPE Robotics of LA (a 501c3 non-profit organization run by the lead coaches of FRC Torbotics 2080 to support the development of K-12 robotics teams throughout our region) is excited to sponsor this year's Torbotics Summer ASTRO CAMP.
We are looking forward to collaborating again with NASA's Stennis Space Center to present a series of 2 different week-long camp experiences! ASTRO CAMP is an engaging, science-based camp designed to inspire youth of all ages to develop an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM). Our goal is to spark students' interest in learning the basics of engineering, rocketry, and robotics while having a ton of fun!
Two Different Camp Experiences Offered this Summer:
Week 1: Monday, June 17 - Friday, June 21
Week 2: Monday, July 22 - Friday, July 26
We will offer two age groups for camp each week:
* 6-9 year-olds
* 10-14 year-olds
All camps will be held in the Torbotics Engineering Workshop at the Medical Magnet Building on the Hammond High Magnet School campus. Camp drop-off and pick-up will be at the Medical Magnet Building on campus. Signs will mark the way. Camp times are 9am - 12pm. A snack will be provided.
