DoDEA-Europe STEMposium 2019 Application
CONFRONT DISASTER - ENGAGE YOUR MIND - SAVE THE WORLD

STEMposium will be held from 1 to 6 December, 2019 in Wiesbaden, Germany. Teams comprised of DoDEA-Europe 9th - 11th grade students will collaborate in a real-world problem-solving challenge requiring them to draw upon multiple STEM-based skill-sets. Experts in Science Technology Engineering and Math will mentor student teams as they create, develop, build, test, and analyze potential solutions to a multifaceted problem. REQUIREMENTS:
1. Students must not have previously attended the DoDEA-Europe STEMposium (High School).
2. Student must be 9th, 10th, or 11th grade students attending a DoDEA-Europe high school.
3. Selected students must maintain grade eligibility not less than a week before the event (three weeks for flying students)
4. Students must have at least a 2.0 GPA with no more than one failing grade in order to participate.
5. Students from outside Germany MUST travel with a passport that has an expiration date greater than 6 June 2020.
6. Students are required to pay a 250 Euro student registration fee. This fee pays for the following:
    a. Lodging and All Meals
    b. Entrance Fees at Study Trip Destinations
    c. Exhaustible Materials for Student Projects
    d. STEMposium T- Shirt
7. Once a student is selected and agrees to attend, they are committed to STEMposium. Cancellation is not an option.
