2023 New Zealand Water Polo National Awards  - Rookie Coach of the Year
Please complete the Rookie Coach of the Year nomination on the below form.

Nominations: 
  • Nominations are invited from anyone including individuals, Clubs and Centres. It is suggested that clubs nominate those who have won their clubs awards.   
  • The nomination must be completed on the below form with any supporting documentation attached.
  • The nominee has coached for less than than five years.
  • The nominee must be a full member of a water polo club which is affiliated with New Zealand Water Polo and be a qualified and active coach.
  • If the nomination does not meet the award criteria it will not be accepted. 
  • Nominations must relate to the 2023 Season.   

Award Criteria:
  1. Has demonstrated success with proven results.
  2. Has demonstrated their successful contribution to the growth and development of teams and players throughout the year. 
  3. Evidence of being well organised, well planned and considerate of teams and players individual needs.
  4. A coach who delivers an enjoyable and effective training environment.
  5. A coach who shares times and knowledge in the development of the regional coaching scene.
  6. Clear demonstration of them living and delivering against New Zealand Water Polo Values.   
Nominations must be received by New Zealand Water Polo by Monday, 19th February 2024

There are 3 Finalists per category.
Finalists will be announced by Friday 1st March 2024.
Finalists will be notified and their names published by NZWP
Finalists will be invited to the Awards Ceremony to be held after the AGM 
Awards will be presented during the Awards Ceremony (immediately after the AGM) on Saturday, 6 April 2024.
