Sign On: An Open Letter in Response to Dignitas Infinita
Please fill out the form below to sign on to our open letter to the Vatican in response to the recent release of Dignitas Infinita. We grieve the document's utter failure to affirm the human dignity of transgender and nonbinary people, especially as it claims to uphold the "infinite dignity" of all. As a group of theology students, ministers, and the next generation of leaders in the Catholic Church, we feel our voices matter. While we are aware this is far from all that needs to be done, it is a start.

Please circulate this among others who share our concern! Please note that lay people who are not affiliated with a school or institution are very welcome to sign.

Your signature as you'd like it to appear on the letter. Feel free to include any or all of the following:
Name, pronouns, Degree, Title, Organization, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity.

If your geographic location, ministerial position, ordination status, or any other factor makes attaching your name to the letter unsafe, please identify yourself as you feel comfortable. For example: “Trans woman, United States,” “Archdiocesan employee, Chicago,” "Jesuit Scholastic," “Catholic Priest, Argentina,” "Lay Catholic," etc.
If NCR or another news organization decides to publish the letter with signatures included, I would like my name included in the article. Note that if a news organization links to the open letter, your signature will be visible on the Google doc.
