DMA is proud to announce the 'DMA Tech Day' workshop series designed for students from Middle Schools and High Schools (Grade 5 - 12) for being creative with computing.
Participants will learn about,
- Transferable problem solving skills
- How technology works and shapes their world
- How to use computing to support other subject areas like working with data in Maths and Science
Learning with the micro:bit (an open source ARM based embedded system designed by the BBC for use in computer education) and Microsoft MakeCode code editor, participants will understand how hardware and software work together to make a complete system.
This is an introduction to Computer Science and programming concepts with a maker philosophy and project based approach. Each Participants will get individual micro:bit v2 kit and battery pack ($ 45 value) to learn from basic algorithms to Radio Communication and do their projects.
