Expression of interest in serving on DESC committees
The DESC has a wide variety of committees to draft and/or implement collaboration policies, as well as to help with regular events such as elections and meetings.  In order to broaden representation in these committees, we are seeking volunteers to serve on them, and would like to include you in a volunteer pool for these committees.  Time spent actively working on these committees is service to the collaboration, and counts towards achieving DESC builder status.

For information about the various committees, including their charges, terms, and serving eligibility, please see https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/x/aS84Dg  If you have any questions, please reach out to the Council via various methods (see http://bit.ly/talk-to-cc)

Only the first two questions have mandatory responses.  The rest of the questions are designed to help the Collaboration Council (CC) ensure that committee membership reflects the demographics of the collaboration.

Your responses will only be shared within the CC, the specific committees involved in the selection, and the Management Team when the specific committees are named by the Spokesperson.

Unless you note otherwise in the comments, we would keep you in the active pool for these committees for one calendar year from the date of your submission, as different committees rotate or change their membership at different times of year.
