SSA Queensland is proud to offer funding support to student and early career members* who wish to attend the Australian Statistics Conference in Wollongong from 10th to 15th December 2023 (
https://www.asc2023.org/).
The grant will cover the registration costs for up to four SSA Queensland members attending the conference. The funding amount will be equivalent to the registration fees, which currently stand at $450 for student members and $550 for early career members. In the event that we do not receive four eligible applications from student or early career members, we will also consider standard members for funding. In such cases, the funding amount will be $950.
To be eligible, you must be a current SSA Queensland member at the time of application. You will also need to provide invoices or evidence of your registration to receive reimbursement. Please note that individuals who received funding from SSA Queensland in 2022 are not eligible to apply.
To apply for this funding opportunity, please complete the following form.
If you have any questions, please contact Hien Nguyen at

Recipients of funding will be required to acknowledge SSA Queensland on their ASC posters or slides.
*Note: In this context, an early career member refers to a member who holds an early career SSA membership and typically has 1-3 years of professional experience after university.
