OLMC Volunteer Registration
We have 3 different volunteer roles we will need help with at each mass. As Fr. Mike mentioned, these jobs and responsibilities can overlap and are not necessarily specific to each person. We are asking you to be as flexible as possible and if you see something or someone that needs help, to please step up. Here are the descriptions of the different jobs given to us from the Diocese:

Set-up team: Volunteers will ensure that: all supplies needed for each sacramental celebration/gathering are ready for use, entrances and exits are marked and propped physically open prior to attendees’ arrival/departure, windows are opened, restrooms are stocked and managed, etc. They will ensure hand sanitizer is available and that pews are marked off according to social distancing guidelines
FOR US: The Set-up team and Clean-up team will need to work closely, especially for our Sunday masses
as the turn around time is very limited. We are hoping for about 5-10 set-up team members for all masses.
This will most likely be the job with the least amount of interaction with people so if you feel particularly
uncomfortable being in close proximity to other parishioners, this would be the job for you!

Greeting/Usher team: Greeters will assist in managing the flow of congregants as they enter the church, participate in the liturgy/sacrament, and exit the church. Team members will combine some of the functions of an usher, such as directing participants to appropriate seating/waiting areas, but will include additional responsibilities, including, but not limited to, making sure attendees use hand sanitizer upon entering, are wearing a mask, and are reminded not to enter if ill. Given the circumstances, greeters will need to be tactful and firm paying careful attention to all people on-site
FOR US: The Greeting/Usher team will be where we will need to most help. For right now, our plan would be
to ideally have about 10-12 Greeters per mass. We would like:
                 - 2-3 Greeters checking people in based on the reservation system as well as maintaining a stand-by
line at the entrance and possibly outside
                 - 2-3 Greeters checking for masks and dispensing hand sanitizer in the atrium
                 - 4-6 Greeters escorting parishioners to seats in the Church, starting at the front and maintaining 6 feet
(3 chairs) between each household/unit. These greeters will also be in charge of dismissing the
parishioners by rows, starting from the back.

Clean-up team: These volunteers will help maintain and sanitize essential and trafficked areas of the church before and after the church has been used. Masks and gloves will be provided, if necessary, in addition to approved cleaning/disinfecting supplies.
FOR US: Again the Set-up team and Clean-up team will need to work closely, especially for our Sunday
masses as the turn around time is very limited. We are hoping for about 12 people to be on the Clean-up
team for the 5:30pm mass on Saturdays and noon mass on Sundays and about 18 people for the 8:15am
and 10:00am mass on Sundays. Father will be requesting help of parishioners who are already seated to
wipe down their own chairs so the number needed on the team could be less.
