“Klimt’s Kiss – Playing with Fire” showcases a student’s present-day and spellbinding view of Klimt’s portraits of women and female nudes. Gustav Klimt (1862–1918), renowned as a “painter of women”, created intimate studies of female eroticism in his art. But are Klimt’s paintings timeless representations of feminine beauty or images of the female as an object of desire?
