Title: Children's Ministry Director

Purpose:
Provide oversight of the Church’s entire Children’s ministry ages birth to 12 years old.
Make sure the ministry lines up with the Church’s mission to equip people in the Word of God so that they can live like Jesus and share His love.

Essential Job Functions:
• Build, develop, and encourage the Children’s Ministry leadership team, which consists of key committed and
        gifted volunteers.
• Recruit, train, develop, and lead volunteers for the Children’s ministry.
• Oversee, schedule, and manage New Life Kidz.
• Develop and implement strategy for whole-family discipleship, working with families to equip and empower
        parents/families to disciple their children.
• Provide oversight and planning for all aspects of Children’s Ministry programming, including:
        Sunday morning Children’s Worship
               Sunday morning Children’s Worship
        Specialized classes
        Outreach events
        Family events/programming
        Curriculum selection/development for all programming

Miscellaneous responsibilities:
• Make sure all teachers and key leaders have background checks.
• Meet with pastor monthly or semi-monthly (or his designation).
• Manage Children’s Ministry budget.
• Keep Children’s Ministry supplies filled.
• Other duties as assigned by pastor.

Personal Qualifications:
• Has a personal, active and growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
• Energetic, warm and able to share the love of Jesus to children and their families.
• Is comfortable with visiting church families involved in the Children’s Ministry.
• Physically capable of sustained activity.

Professional Qualifications:
• Knowledge of the Bible and experience in teaching it to children.
• Ability to handle stress and problem solve.
• Ability to keep confidential and sensitive information.
• Excellent communication and organizational/administration skills.
