The lovely site of Camping Las Hortensias, is located right next to the gorgeous beach of Playa de la Franca. During high tide, it is a quiet bay, very safe for children and excellent for water sports and when the tide is low, the beach is a large expanse of fine sand surrounded by small coves and rock pools.

On the edge of the beach are 2 bars serving seafood and drinks until late. There is also a hotel with family restaurant and terrace bar offering tremendous views of the beach.

The site has excellent toilets and showers; tennis court; playground; shop and restaurant. Wifi available on site.The pitches are terraced and have 10A EHU.

The site is less than 1 hour drive from Santander.

The beautiful medieval town of Llanes is 12 miles away, and the roman town of San Vicente de la Barquera is 12 miles the other direction. Both offering shops, bars, restaurants and beautiful architecture.

The mountain range of Picos de Europa is in the area where you can climb to the summit by cable car.
The site costs are approx. £500 for 2 weeks & £750 for 3 weeks.
The ferry is approx. £1000/£1300 and is a 24/29 hour crossing from Portsmouth to Santander.
