Short educational videos on climate
The purpose of this survey is to collect the opinion and interest of teachers on the use of short (3 min) educational videos on climate, and more particularly on the climate in Antarctica and the climates of the past.

Within the framework of the European project DEEPICE, 15 PhD students must each produce a short educational video (in English) on these themes. We would like to know the usefulness of these videos for teachers, in order to better evaluate the target audience (middle and high school students or higher studies).

As DEEPICE project is a research project on the study of past climates through the analysis of ancient ice in Antarctica, in particular during the last 1.5 million years, the topics of the videos will be related to this research theme (paleoclimates, ice study, climate in Antarctica, etc.)

Optional answer
Where do you teach? *
Which use do you make of / What is your interest in using short educational videos on specific scientific topics to illustrate your courses? *
Regarding the topics listed below, would you be likely to address some of them in class and use short educational videos addressing these topics as course material?

Check yes for topics that you are addressing and leave the column blank for topics that you are not addressing
Yes
Albedo effect, energy balance
Link between aerosols & climate
Mechanisms of extension and melting of the sea ice
Mass balance of ice sheets and impact on sea level
Past composition of the atmosphere, in particular greenhouse gases
Climate modelling
Water isotope analysis to reconstruct paleoclimates
Glacial & interglacial cycles
Formation of an ice sheet
Geology and climate of Antarctica
Ice, a natural archive of the climate
If you answered yes at least once to the previous question, would the fact that the videos are in English (with English subtitles) be a hindrance for you to use the videos?
