Grant experience
My name is Millie and I am one of the EDI Officer's for UK Polar Network (23/24). I am putting together a session on grant funding for an October 2023 UK Polar Network event for those who have never really applied for fieldwork funding before.

As part of this I am hoping to draw on the ECR community's experience of getting grant funding for PhD fieldwork and what was the most important factor in obtaining that grant funding. This is especially important as due to COVID-19 new postgraduate research students are coming into their degree's with under developed skills around grant writing and fieldwork planning for applications to grant funders.

All responses will be anonymised and your PhD institution is being collected to ensure there are a wide range of responses across all universities in the UK.
