am2pm Peer Mentor opportunity is open to all youth Grade 10 - College First Years. Applications for the 2024 summer season are being accepted through April 30. Peer Mentor Candidates will be advised of the status of their application by May 7.
To be accessible to all students, the cost of AM2PM depends on your ability to pay. We offer full pay, partial pay, and scholarship options.
- The full pay option is $750 per peer mentor for the 15-20 hour leadership training and the 10-day community service program. This amount covers the cost to operate the program; including all program experiences, midday meals, snacks, and transportation.
- Our partial pay option allows you to pay as much as you can.
- If you are income-eligible (see this chart), our scholarship option can cover the full cost of the AM2PM program.
Those whose applications are selected for the Peer Mentor opportunity will be required to attend Peer Mentor Leadership Development Training & Community Service experiences during afterschool, evening, and weekend sessions during May and June (scheduled to be determined) for a total of 15-20 hours total. Those whose applications are not selected are invited to participate in the 10-day am2pm program (June 30 - July 14).
Peer Mentors who successfully complete the training will receive a stipend of $500.00 to mentor the participants of the 10 day am2pm program (June 30 - July 14) . The peer mentor role will continue throughout the 2024.25 school year with quarterly leadership development and community service projects (as their schedule allows).
