The College of Education is hosting an accreditation visit by the
Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) from 3rd December
to 6th December 2023. CAEP is an international evaluation organization that
accredits professional education programs. As part of the accreditation process,
stakeholders are encouraged to submit third-party comments to the CAEP evaluation
team.
If you have any experiences or insights related to the quality of
professional education programs offered at the College of Education, we kindly invite
you to share your thoughts with CAEP. Comments should specifically address
substantive matters and must be based on the core tenets of CAEP accreditation
standards of excellence. Some key points to consider when providing your
comments are:
- Providing evidence that
teacher candidates possess a strong understanding of the subject matter and are
effective in teaching it to students.
- Demonstrating that candidates
(students) can apply theoretical knowledge effectively in real-world P-12
classrooms.
- The College is engaged in
continuous assessment, development, and improvement.
- The College ensures that
its faculty and programs keep up with new knowledge, best practices, and
advancements in technology.
- The college is adaptable
and responsive to the changing landscape of education and educational reforms.

The specified period for submitting comments to the College is from 15th
August 2023 to 15th September 2023. Your input during this
timeframe is essential in helping us understand your perspectives and address

programs offered.

(e.g., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates, etc.)
to help CAEP better understand your perspective.

role in the College's accreditation.
