University Life Events Council Application 2023-2024
University Life is currently accepting applications for the 2023-2024 Events Council.  

The
University Life Events Council provides programs and activities for all Columbia students that promote community, well-being and inclusion & belonging. It is volunteer-based and includes representatives from Columbia's 17 schools. All Council events are free and open to all students from all schools on all campuses.

The Events Council is a great way for students to get involved with campus life, meet other students from different schools and gain valuable leadership experience.

Before you begin the application, take a moment to review available positions for the 2023-2024 academic year. This application contains several short answer questions and may take about 15-30 minutes to complete.

Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM on Sunday, April 20, 2023. Selected applicants will be invited for an interview and will be notified via email. 


Selected students will be required to go through onboarding, and will be required to attend: A Fall and Spring Retreat at the beginning of each semester (dates to be announced) and weekly virtual planning meetings with their committees. All accepted students require a good disciplinary and academic standing check with their institution.

Team Leads and Chairs will be required to attend a bi-weekly virtual meeting with their advisor and bi-weekly in person events council full team meeting.
