WACSI 2024 Registration

The 2024 WAC Summer Institute will take place June 19 - 22, 2024 in Albuquerque, NM. The Summer Institute is an intensive professional development program designed to:

  • Assist new and prospective leaders of WAC/WID or similar initiatives in the US and internationally in planning and developing sustainable programs, and
  • Support experienced directors who face new challenges or wish to expand, update, or revitalize their programs.

The institute will take place in-person and will be capped at 35 participants. Throughout the institute, experienced WAC facilitators will guide participants in the application of research-based strategies in writing across the curriculum. The Institute schedule includes:

  • A welcome reception in the evening on Wednesday, June 19th;
  • Two full days of activities with experienced facilitators on Thursday June 20th and Friday, June 21st; and 
  • A half day of programming on Saturday, June 22nd.

Throughout the summer institute, participants will work as a large group, in small groups, and as individuals to apply best practices to their own institutional contexts and goals.

To reserve your spot, you must pay your $850 registration fee on the AWAC Membership page. Select the option "Registration for the WAC Summer Institute" (last row in the table of membership options).

Registration includes admission to the entire event; an opening reception; breakfast, coffee, and snacks on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; and lunch on Monday and Tuesday.

 Please submit your payment within 7 days to finalize your registration.
