Parent/Player AAU/Travel Basketball Agreement
Welcome to the 2022 ELW Future Stars AAU/Travel Basketball Season. We are looking forward to an exciting and
rewarding season with you and the boys. To ensure that we have an enjoyable season, we believe it is important to set out, in writing, our expectations of you and what you can expect of us:

(a) During the season, we shall endeavor to provide your player with exemplary basketball instruction along with an enjoyable and memorable experience. However, we cannot do this without your help. First and foremost, our coaches will treat both you and your son with the utmost courtesy and respect. In return, you and your son shall treat our coaches & any staff with the utmost courtesy and respect. At all ELW Future Stars games, please understand that you and your son are representing the organization. Therefore, we ask that you deal with all tournament directors, referees, opposing coaches, opposing players and fans with the utmost courtesy and respect.

(b) For your enrollment/registration fee, we commit to you that our team shall play in no less than 8 sanctioned tournaments. The entire payment must be received by the due date specified in you team budget. ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.  We offer a sibling discount. In addition, new players will receive from us (2) ELW Future Stars Uniforms, (1) shooter shirt, and (1) bag. If your player loses any of these items, you agree to promptly pay for the replacement of same. Replacing a Uniform will cost $125.00 (no name) replacing a shooter shirt will cost $65.00. You also agree that you will pay any and all fees and costs associated with travel (where applicable), lodging and meals.

(c) Please understand that playing time on the ELW Future Stars is at the total and complete discretion of the coaching staff. Unlike recreational basketball, playing time in any game or series of games is absolutely not guaranteed.

(d) AAU basketball is a competitive endeavor that requires a significant commitment from its participants. The team will generally practice twice weekly (1.5 hours each practice) and play games on many weekends (Friday through Sunday) between March and May. There will be no practice during the week of Cobb County Schools’ Spring Break (April 4th-8th) or when the County Cobb Schools are closed. As such, you agree that your player will attend no less than 90% of the team's practices and, with very few exceptions, all of their team's games. If your player is going to miss a practice, please contact the head coach and at least one of the team's assistant coaches no less than two (2) hours before the practice. If your son is going to miss a game, please advise the head coach and at least one assistant coach no less than three (3) days prior to the game. Of course, if your player becomes ill in a short time frame than that which is proscribed herein, please advise us of the same as soon as possible.

(e) We consider all of the players in the ELW Future Stars system to be student-athletes. They are students first and athletes second. Accordingly, we expect all students to maintain an average of 80% more. Any student that fails to maintain a B Average for any report card must meet with the team's head coach and an assistant coach to explain the reasons therefore. Only if there are extenuating circumstances (e.g. illness or otherwise) will the player be allowed to continue playing without maintaining B Average.

(f) As a member of the ELW Future Stars, each player is required to treat his/her teammates and member of other ELW Future Stars teams as he would treat his own brother/sister. Under no circumstances shall there be any bullying, name calling or any other action that separates any player or players from the group. All members of the ELW Future Stars shall conduct themselves in a positive manner at all times - - in school, in social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and otherwise.

(g) By no later than March 15th, you agree to provide us with a copy of your son’s birth certificate and most recent report card.

(h) Parents, relatives or guest(s) of the player must display good sportsmanship and conduct during tournaments and/or practices. Shouting and the use of profanity will not be tolerated at practices and/or tournaments. Anyone displaying this type of conduct will be removed.

BY SELECTING "YES" TO THIS AGREEMENT, YOU AND YOUR PLAYER IS STATING THAT THE AGREEMENT RULES WILL BE ADHERED TO AT ALL TIMES.

Do you & your player agree to adhere to the ELW Parent/Player AAU/Travel Basketball Agreement. *
