Submit a tearsheet for each of the entries. A tearsheet is a full page PDF from a publication.

Please use the following naming convention to name your file names before submitting them:

CategoryName*_PublicationName_SchoolName_Student-Name**_EntryNumber(IfMultiplePerStudent)

For example, Jane Doe** from Teaching School's Daily News submitting entries for the Fiction and Photography/Art Layout categories would type:

PLEASE NOTE: Including a GoogleDoc inside your folder with a list of all student entries is encouraged to help NCSMA ensure everything is submitted.

** Please type student names EXACTLY as you would like them to appear on the certificate, including capitalization and using dashes (-) to signify spaces. If any of the names you are submitting require special characters or instructions, please include them in the "Notes and Comments" section at the end of this form. If multiple students worked on the individual entry, separate names with an underscore.

Check all boxes for categories that you will submit to the contest.

Note: Students are not allowed to submit more than three entries per student per category.

Please name the folder with your school/publication name as follows:

#*_PublicationName_PublicationType**_SchoolName
*Replace "#" with 1, 2 or M depending on school size, whether it's small (1), large (2) or middle (M).
**Replace "PublicationType" with either News (Print), News (Online), Literary Magazine, Yearbook, Broadcast News or Radio/Podcasts.

The following are steps you can take to ensure the submission process goes as smoothly as possible:
~ Make sure only one form is being submitted per publication per school.
~ Make sure the number of entries being submitted matches the number specified on the form.
~ Make sure a link to a folder is being submitted, instead of a link to a single PDF or URL.
~ Make sure photography/art entries are shown in the context of the spread or page they appear on, instead of submitting individual photo files.
~ Make sure photography/art entries/story entries containing multiple pieces clearly showcase which one is to be judged.
~ Make sure that each entry is submitted as a single PDF or URL.
~ Make sure spreads are exported and submitted as spreads instead of as individual pages.

~ Make sure you are giving ncsmacontests@gmail.com rights to organize, add and edit your folder.
~ Make sure you own all the files. Schools that use Google Suite for Education may have restrictions preventing their folders from being accessed by NCSMA. If that is the case and permission for NCSMA to access the folder cannot be granted, please notify us as soon as possible for alternative options.

In order to enter the individual contests, a publication must enter the overall contest for a fee of $75.
