Youth Advisory Committee Application

Apply today to be a part of the Youth Advisory Committee for Foundry Squamish! In order to apply candidates must be:

- ages 12-24
- residents of Squamish
- able to commit to a minimum 1 year term
- able to commit 4-5 hours/month

Applications are open now until 4pm on September 23 2021. Successful candidates will be contacted by October 1, 2021.

What does it mean to be on the Youth Advisory Committee for Squamish?
This means you get to be a part of creating a new youth centre that will be part of the Foundry BC family. This includes working with Sea to Sky Community Services to inform the services, programs, and opportunities that will happen in this new space.

Time Commitment:
Committee members will be required to attend regular meetings monthly for up to 1.5 hours. A minimum of 1 to 2 additional hours a month is spent on check ins and other correspondence. Committee members will also contribute by participating in a minimum of 1 specific project or working group during their term. Specific Project time commitments are established by various teams as needed throughout the year. Hours may fluctuate month to month.

Honorarium:
Committee members, chairs, vice-chairs, and secretary are provided with an honorarium of $25 per hour for their skills/expertise. Project specific rates may fluctuate depending on the project.

If you answered "no" to any of the questions above you can still submit your application for consideration, however, the questions indicate the minimum requirements for being a Youth Advisory Committee member. If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from hitting all the eligibility areas and still wish to apply please communicate this in the application.
