UMA Nomination Form

Please use this form to either self-nominate or nominate someone else to run for a director position on the UMA Board.

The United Motorcoach Association (UMA) is calling for nominations for Operator Member candidates to serve on the UMA Board of Directors. Each year up to two seats in each region may become available. Candidates nominated for the Board must represent an active UMA Member Company in good standing with the association.

Per the UMA Bylaws, Operator Membership is open to "Any individual, partnership, privately owned company or corporation lawfully engaged in the business of transporting persons in commercial motor vehicles in the U.S., Canada or any other country around the world may apply for operator membership."

For service on the Board:

"a.) A Member shall not be qualified to serve on the Board of Directors unless he/she has been an operator Member in good standing* for a minimum of one year prior to his/her nomination.
b.) The directors must be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the member's entity.
c.) All directors are required to attend at least 50% of the association's board meetings in person or face removal from the board; extenuating circumstances may be taken into account by the Board before invoking removal of a Member in such an action."

*Due to COVID, to be considered a "Member in Good Standing" a nominee's 2021 dues must be paid.
